The popular Beleura Cliff Path walking track has been closed by the Mornington Shire due to safety concerns following a recent landslide onto the path. Coordinator of Friends of Beleura Cliff Path, Peter Nicholson, says the landslip is due to years of ineffective attempts by the council to fix the drainage problems. However the council now has a clear plan to fix the problem.
The Friends Group work hard to maintain and enhance the path and are upset at the closure and they hope the path will be reopened before summer.
