Latest news on sewage spill
Please see following the latest update on water quality testing for this incident.
E.coli levels have now returned to background levels. We are still awaiting Enterococci testing from Tuesday, but these may remain above background levels, given it is more resistant to salt water.
Testing shows that the spill has not impacted Port Phillip Bay.
Precautionary signage will remain in place until water quality returns to background levels.
