ARI online seminar Monday 15 July 1-2pm: Protecting birds in a changing environment.

ARI’s next seminar will focus on protecting birds in a changing environment.
Hear from ornithologists Dr Nyil Khwaja and Dr Danny Rogers from DEECA’s Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research, discussing waterbirds and water for the environment and the potential impacts of sea level rise on the shorebirds at the Western Treatment Plant.

Revegetation for Reconciiation Eco Info evening Tuesday 16 July at Melbourne Girls College 6pm to 7.30pm.

In the lead up to community Tree day on Sunday the 28th of July, come along to an informative evening on the banks of the Biarrarung to hear from award winning agricultural scientist Dylan Male speak of the greater inclusion of Indigenous food plants in our contemporary farming systems. Dylan will share his experiences working alongside the Dja Dja Wurrung people of central Victoria to develop Kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra) into a contemporary seed crop.
One of the speakers will be Sophie Hart who was winner of VEFN’s Young Best Friend Award in 2023.
