From Mornington Peninsula Shire (14/7/24)…
Open Space Strategy – Workshop with Friends Groups
Good afternoon Friends Groups,
On behalf of the Shire, I would like to invite you to attend a workshop to help shape our new Open Space Strategy.
The aim of the new Strategy is to set a clear direction for achieving an integrated, accessible and equitable open space network that meets the needs of our community. The Strategy will guide the future planning, provision, design and management of existing and future open spaces and reserves for a 15-year period up until 2040.
You can view details about the Strategy on the Shire’s website, link: Open Space Strategy | Shape Our Future (mornpen.vic.gov.au)
Why get involved?
We are keen to ensure that Mornington Peninsula Friends Groups have input into the strategy so your concerns and interests, including biodiversity conservation are addressed. We know you have valuable local knowledge about how our bushland, foreshore reserves and open spaces can be improved.
What are the details?
We are holding an online workshop (via Zoom) for Friends Groups on Monday, 22 July from 5.30 to 6.30pm. All you need to do is register using this link.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the Open Space Strategy, please contact Todd from i.e. community on 0457 943 242 or by email at todd@ie.community.
Kind regards,
Hannah Brown, Biodiversity Officer
