This proposal was to extend the old Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) buildings and convert them into an Aged Care facility.  The buildings are within the Green Wedge where new developments are restricted to certain types of facilities, including places of worship, but not including Aged Care facilities.  The inclusion of a chapel in the plans seems to be a means of bypassing the limitations on the site.

There have been many objectors, including Mornington Shire, some groups and individuals.

This proposal was heard at VCAT.   It has been refused.
