Climate Change: Our Home – Our Future

Peninsula Voice are holding a free Climate Change Forum at Peninsula Community Theatre from 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm on Thursday 29th February. Theforum will look at how climate change is impacting us now both globally and locally, and explore what we can and must do to protect our future.

Speakers include experts on the environment, our economy and health, and some of the many groups taking action and making a real difference locally.

Speakers include:

  • David Karoly – University of Melbourne Climate Change Scientist and honorary Professor, – speaking about climate change on a global front,
  • Angie Bone – Public Health Physician and Associate Professor of Practice in Planetary Health at Monash University – speaking about climate change and human health,
  • Sam Lundberg, Volunteer with Zero Positive and Coexist – speaking about tackling climate change locally,
  • Lucy Allinson, Team Leader Climate Change, Mornington Peninsula Shire – speaking on Local impacts of climate change – our Councils response, and
  • Repower Group – speaking about initiatives for tackling climate change on the Mornington Peninsula

Supper will be provided after the forum, allowing for a wonderful opportunity to have a conversation about climate change.
