PestWatch! – Asian Shore Crab Ramble at Mt Martha Rock Pools

Join us for our Asian shore crab field survey and training at Mount Martha Rock Pools. We will explore the rocky reef at low tide, looking for Asian Shore Crabs.

Location: Mount Martha Rock Pools, Mount Martha

Preparation: If you haven’t attended any previous PestWatch webinars or trainings, please watch the Asian Shore Crab Educational Module

What to bring:

  • Wear proper footwear: reef shoes or other close-toed shoes that can get wet. No thongs or bare feet.
  • Bring gloves (Male Asian shore crabs have a strong pinch!)
  • Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, long sleeves, wind jacket, reusable water bottle.

Meeting Point: Mount Martha Beach Carpark near the public toilets (Esplanade, opposite Kilburn Grove)

This event is shore-based only; we don’t go into the water. All ages welcome! Children need to be under supervision of an adult.
