Revegetation Project at Hunters Crossing

The Rotary Club of Mornington has just completed a revegetation project at Hunters Crossing over Tanti Creek. The project was completed with help and guidance by Tanti Creek Friends, Marty Lenard, and funding from SE Water under a community grant scheme. Environmental sustainability has become one of Rotary International’s key areas of focus.
The project started in April 2022 with weed and kikuyu spraying by Naturelinks, mulch spreading, and the planting of an initial 200 plants, by club members, Tanti Creek Friends and local residents There was subsequent spraying, mulching and planting in spring and a final planting of 200 plants in May 2023.
Hunters Crossing is named after one of Mornington’s early settlers and is near the corner of Yuilles and Watts Road.
