September Working Bee at Mills Beach

September Working Bee at Mills Beach

Well, there weren’t many of us but we got the job done – the job was to water all the plantings we put in last time. Sally parked the truck up on Red Bluff and we carried watering cans delivering water to all the new seedlings.  Pleasingly most of the were doing pretty well, especially the banksias and correas. The violas are having a hard time but most have hung on.  Of some concerns are the banksia along the path near the esplanade – they show signs of the disease whose name can’t remember (if any anyone can tell me will update this post).

Next month (October 16) we have the nest box monitoring, which is always interesting. We should try to check out the plants and do more watering as well. More details to follow.
