From the Victorian Environment Friends Network (15/5/24)…
Join VEFN for free – Limited time offer!
Anthony Bigelow, Convenor of the Victorian Environment Friends Network got in touch to advise of a number of developments. Importantly, this includes an opportunity for friends and similar environmental volunteer groups to join VEFN for free for one year.
Below, I pass on Anthony’s message:
Dear Nature Lovers,
VEFN is thrilled to announce some transformative updates to the Victorian Environment Friends Network (VEFN) that will significantly enrich your experience as a member and bolster your group’s impact within the community. As part of our commitment to empowering environmental groups across Victoria, we’re introducing an innovative feature: personalised pages exclusively for our members. Here’s what you can expect:
- Dedicated showcase: Each member group will have their own page on the VEFN website, providing a platform to spotlight your initiatives, share contact information, and emphasise your contributions to environmental conservation in Victoria. We’ll create your page for free to get it up and running—no costs, no technical hassles. Just an opportunity to shine and thrive!
- Interactive mapping: Engage with supporters and volunteers more effectively by dropping a pin on a map, facilitating easy navigation to your group’s location and fostering local involvement in your projects.
- Visual storytelling: Showcase your group’s journey through a gallery feature, where you can exhibit images and videos of your projects, events, and achievements, captivating audiences and amplifying your impact.
- Time-limited offer: In celebration of this exciting enhancement and with the support of a grant from DEECA, we’re offering environmental groups the opportunity to join VEFN and access these benefits free of charge for the first year. Please register over the coming month, as the offer is available for a limited time, so seize the opportunity while it lasts!
Moreover, we’re retiring our current “Friends Finder” page to make way for these exciting updates. The personalised group pages will provide a more comprehensive and interactive platform for members to showcase their work and connect with supporters.
To explore a glimpse of what our refreshed new members group page could resemble, take inspiration from this example crafted by the developer undertaking this work for VEFN who designed the Urban Bushland Council WA website: https://www.bushlandperth.org
