News on the Sewer spill at Kalimna Drive, Mornington

A message from South East Water about the recent sewer spill…

We’ve received back preliminary water quality results for testing conducted on 4 August. As you can see, we’ve recorded high levels of E.coli at the stormwater outlet and slightly elevated levels at the Tanti Creek outlet. Nothing has been recorded in the bay yet, however, this may change as the sewage disperses over coming days.

We are conducting daily testing and I’ll keep you updated as results come in. Precautionary signage will remain in place until water quality returns to background levels.

Any questions, please get in touch.

Cheers
